As the deadline draws ever closer, we looked at our music video so far with extra critical eyes.
we realised that we needed to lip-sync a few lines in order to fill the last remaining gaps and to pull the whole piece together.
Therefore i wrote down all the lines that needed to be synced and James and i planned our final filming slot for yesterday.
James arrived dressed in his white shirt and black tie (to keep continuity) and we began filming on and behind the school stage which was where most of our performance shots were filmed.
James focused on moving his lips at exactly the right tempo so that it would fit with the track we were using and i focused on filming him in the same way we had done for all the other shots. (Again for continuity)
There were a few lines that we wanted to film several times in different locations because the line was repeated as the bridge in the song. The line was "He's a shifty so and so/ you'll never get to heaven if you don't say no."
So i filmed a backwards panning shot of james walking behind the stage for the first bridge/ James walking down some steel stairs (which looked great when desaturated on final cut)for the second bridge/ James sitting at the bottom of the stairs for the third.
All these shots were filmed several times to ensure we got the best shot possible and to make sure that everything was framed correctly. James then took the SD cards home so we could begin our final editing the next day.
