Filming

With the video deadline looming, we have really upped our work and have filmed several extra narrative shots to fill in the gaps in our video.
Firstly, i wanted to expand on the idea i had about the band exiting their dressing rooms with their instruments and walking around to the front of house. So whilst the boys were tweaking the preliminary edit to get it in sync and looking proffessional, i went off with the actors and filmed at the location(thanks to the exams officer who kindly let me use the main hall even though exams were happening that afernoon!)
I set up the camera on the tripod and filmed (panning backwards) Martyn, followed by James and then Louis coming out of 3 doors round the back of the stage. Each was holding an instrument or impliment associated with their role in the band. EG. Louis held a Bass guitar, James held an electric guitar and Martyn held drumsticks.

We uploaded the footage into the end of the timeline on final cut pro so that we could cut them down and edit them appropriatley when we had the rest of the footage.

A few days later after extensive organisation and planning we got all the actors and the whole media group together to film our "resevior dogs" inspired shots. We went out to the front of the school down by the botton carpark, i set up the camera on the tripod at its shortest setting in order to get the correct angle shot to try and replicate "RD". On the other side of the road in front os a nice red brick wall, Ewan James W, Louis, James L, and Martyn were lined up dressed in black two piece suits and fashionable mens attire so as to appeal to our intended audiences.
I filmed them walking from across the road walking across the shot from right to left at various speeds and angles. i then filmed each of the boys' faces/shoulders in a medium close up shot walking towards the camera, again as i was shooting i was quite close to the actors but walking backwards, following their movement. After that i filmed them walking towards the camera(long shot) and then away from it.

We took the new footage into the editing suite and uploaded it onto our mac wherein we started to desaturate the colours of our shots and overlay a posterize effect to fit with the aesthetic of the rest of the video.
